The linocuts and woodblock may be a single block or could be created from more than one block e.g. Billy

A Reduction print is printed as several layers. The lightest layer is printed first and then more material is cut from the block and another layer applied. There is no going back with a reduction print and you don't know if the image will work until the final layer is applied.

Because prints are individual and hand produced there may be some variation between prints and there can be some waviness which is common with print making. (The ink tightens the fibres of the paper relative to the areas that haven't been inked which may cause the paper to cockle.)

Original art work should be stored in dry conditions and away from direct sunlight. Avoid rapid changes in hummidity
