This woodblock is based on a December visit to RSPB Ham Wall to see the starlings lift off at dawn. Sharing the reedbeds with the starlings were several Great White Egrets their white feathers and graceful movements contrasting with the density of starlings in the reedbeds.
The block is carved from Ash and it is far from even, so each print is slightly different as inking and achieving an even pressure across the contours of the block, inevitably gave variable results.
The block is 60cm long and about 30cm high with signature and from an edition of 50. Print will be wrapped flat on board - no mount.
Please note each print is slightly different please contact me if you would like to see what prints are available, also for local delivery/collection discount and for shipping to other destinations.
